The Machine Room invests in Teranex HD video enhancement technology

London post facility The Machine Room has invested in the latest HD video restoration and enhancement technology for Teranex.
The imageRestore system from Teranex is a complete HD-ready image restoration tool in a box and neatly rounds out the rest of The Machine Room’s video and film restoration services. The Machine Room can now offer clients everything from physical film treatment processes to electronic HD and SD scratch and dirt removal, noise reduction, stabilisation and format/resolution conversion.
Managing Director of The Machine Room, Danny Whybrow, said: “imageRestore perfectly complements our Film Treatment Centre, allowing us to offer an unrivalled range of physical and electronic restoration services for all types of material and at all resolutions.”
Darryl Huxley, technical director at The Machine Room said: “We looked long and hard for an HD-compatible video restoration system that could not only help us with up/down conversions for feature film mastering but could also provide us with real-time restoration and de-spotting of archive and new film material. After extensive research we decided on imageRestore as it is easily upgradeable, image quality is artefact-free and better than anything else out there. It will be a real boon to our clients.”
The Machine Room has over 12 years’ experience of providing professional services to the film, television and video markets. It offers clients – including the BFI, IWM, TWI, Pathé, Paramount, Shed, MGM, HIT Entertainment, MTV and BBC Worldwide - highly experienced operators with cutting edge technology to provide non-linear editing facilities, HD post-production, DVD authoring and encoding and film mastering and treatment services.
