The Machine Room chooses Sonic Scenarist for major facility upgrade

The Machine Room, a leading postproduction and media creation facility based in Soho, London, has recently upgraded and expanded its DVD production capabilities with the addition of multiple Sonic Scenarist all-in-one DVD workstations.
Capitalising on its reputation as an innovative provider of DVD creation services, The Machine Room has replaced obsolete third-party systems with the very latest professional DVD authoring and real-time hardware encoding technology using Sonic’s Upgrade Program.
“The Machine Room prides itself on employing the latest and most advanced DVD creation technology, and Sonic was the clear choice when we needed to update our existing capabilities and expand our production facility,” said Tony Bradley, DVD production director, The Machine Room, London. “With Scenarist’s real-time hardware encoding, powerful authoring, and expert support, we are able to exceed our clients’ expectations, continue to innovate, and deliver the best possible product to market. Scenarist has accelerated our production times and with Sonic's upgrade programme, we have been able to retrieve value from our outdated third-party systems.”
Featuring real-time MPEG-2 video and simultaneous surround sound audio encoding, Sonic Scenarist is the leading solution for creating high-end feature film DVD titles. Scenarist provides unrivalled access to the DVD specification and features a unique mix of powerful, high-end features and productivity enhancements that empower users to create titles with the maximum level of interactivity and achieve the highest level of player compatibility. Sonic’s award-winning SD-series encoders offer cinematic-quality, real-time hardware MPEG-2 video compression with simultaneous surround sound audio encoding.
“High-end facilities demand the latest DVD production technology along with professional support services so that their businesses can meet the ever-increasing demand for cutting-edge, feature-rich titles,” said Richard Linecar, director of Sonic's European Operations, Professional Products Group. “The Sonic upgrade program, combined with our team of expert DVD Product Specialists, offers professional users an unrivalled package that enables them to affordably upgrade their facilities to the very latest future-proof DVD technology. We’re delighted that The Machine Room has chosen Sonic to update and expand their DVD production capabilities.”
Launched in 2004, the Sonic upgrade program offers users of all brands of DVD authoring systems the opportunity to upgrade to Sonic’s famous all-in-one DVD workstations and authoring systems. All upgrade packages include a hardware-based DVD production solution and a subscription to Sonic’s mission-critical support, SonicCare, as well as special incentives enabling users to retrieve value from outdated authoring technology.
For more information on availability and pricing, users can contact Sonic’s value-added resellers or Sonic’s regional sales representatives. Contact information is available from Sonic’s web site at www.sonic.com.
With its extremely precise control of the DVD specification and the unequalled DVD player compatibility of the titles it produces, Scenarist has become the backbone of the commercial DVD industry and is used to design and create the vast majority of blockbuster DVDs, feature film releases, and high-end commercial titles available today.
