The Machine Room post new Ewan McGregor film

The Machine Room have completed HD transfer and grading for the forthcoming feature film 'Young Adam'.
The transfer was completed in telecine by colourist Jeff Burgess, and graded from 35mm film to HDD5 at 24p. Young Adam will be released in the UK in September 2003.
Starring Ewan McGregor and Tilda Swinton, Young Adam, sold internationally by HanWay, is a Recorded Picture Company production based in Glasgow and Edinburgh. It is directed by David Mackenzie, produced by Jeremy Thomas and adapted from a novel by Scottish writer Alexander Trocchi.
Working closely with DP Giles Nuttgens for this project, The Machine Room's smoke editor John McLaren, also completed titles re-versioning and last-minute effects work using its non-linear editor, smoke.
Work accomplished on smoke included re-grading and tracking several windows for interior shots and creating a warm light in an old fashioned oil lamp using glows, new textures and plug-ins.
