Ascent purchase two MTI ‘Correct’ film restoration systems

Ascent Media Management Services have extended their digital film restoration capabilities with the purchase of two full licenses for MTI’s Correct resolution independent film mastering system, through UK reseller root6.
The order for the US software company, which was finalised at the recent IBC Convention will be fulfilled immediately, and the two workstations will be installed in Ascent Media’s Wardour Street facility.
Ascent's Wardour Street MD Candy Fry said: “MTI’s Correct system is the perfect addition to our equipment arsenal. Our clients are keenly aware of the need to optimise the value of their libraries, yet their archived material is frequently damaged. The acquisition of MTI’s Correct system means that we that we will be able to restore clients’ film material in both HD and SD to its original pristine condition for transmission or DVD creation cost-effectively.”
