ITC AWARD LICENCE TO OMNE

THE ITC have awarded a non-exclusive local delivery service licence to OMNE Telecommunications (OMNE) following their application earlier this year.
The licence permits the provision of television and related services over telephone networks and/or broadband cable, allowing OMNE to offer a full range of multichannel television and related services in all parts of the United Kingdom. OMNE are initially proposing to develop a network serving communities in South West Scotland and North West England.
A nominal cash bid of £1 has been made for the licence, in addition to administrative licence fees, and the ITC have set the percentage of qualifying revenue to be paid for all non-exclusive licences at zero. (CD)
