PLATFORM POST OPENS ITS DOORS WITH A SMOKE
PLATFORM Post, a new Soho facility set up by Editor Simon Cruse and Graphic Designer David Tasker, has opened its doors with a Discreet smoke on-line non-linear editing and finishing tool.
The system was sold and will be supported by full service resellers, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry. For the lorries it follows quickly on the back of another recent smoke sale to London post facility, Rapid Pictures.
The smoke at Platform Post will be used primarily for long form programme work, whole programmes in addition to inserts. Other equipment at the facility includes a graphics system based around Discreet combustion and Adobe After Effects, a fully loaded Digi Beta tape suite and an Avid on-line system. Both Cruse and Tasker have considerable industry experience prior to Platform Post and have already lined up a number of projects for the smoke. (CD)
