'Young Adam' director nominated for European Film Award

'Young Adam' director David Mackenzie has been nominated for the Rainer Werner Fassbinder Discovery Prize at this year's European Film Awards.
The cash prize is presented at the awards ceremony by the Fassbinder Foundation, who aim to recognise remarkable European filmmakers. Mackenzie will be competing with entries from all across Europe.
Gillian Berrie, co-founder of Sigma Films with David Mackenzie, acted as Co-Producer on Lars von Trier's 'Dogville', which is in contention for four awards, including European Film of the Year.
The awards will take place in Berlin on December 6 2003.
