European Film Academy Announces Nominees For 'European Discovery' Award

Four films have been nominated in the category 'European Discovery' presented to a young and upcoming director for a first full-length feature film.
The nominations were determined by a committee comprised of FIPRESCI (the international association of film critics) members Klaus Eder (Germany), Andrei Plakhov (Russia), and Jean Roy (France), as well as festival directors Pierre-Henri Deleau (France) and Stefan Laudyn (Poland).
The nominated films are:
  • 13 TZAMETI by Gela Babluani, France/Georgia;
  • Z ODZYSKU (Retrieval) by Slawomir Fabicki, Poland;
  • PINGPONG by Matthias Luthardt, Germany;
  • FRISS LEVEGÖ (Fresh Air) by Agnes Kocsis, Hungary.
The nominated films will now be made available to all 1,700 members of the European Film Academy.
They will vote for the winner who will be announced at the European Film Awards on December 2 in Warsaw.
