Channel 4 Opens Production Training Scheme
Channel 4 has announced that its Production Training Scheme 2016/17 has opened for applications. This year, the scheme is targeted at people with disabilities, those from a socially disadvantaged group, and those from a BAME background.
The initiative provides a 12-month contract to work at one of the independent production companies who produce some of Channel 4's content, as well as a training package to ensure each participant is well prepared for a continuing career in the industry.
Positions available include researchers – the people behind the scenes who find people for television shows – and those who make sure everything runs smoothly – the uber-organised co-ordinators. Some positions at award-winning drama companies are also on offer.
