Entrance Level Training Scheme Opens

Film and Television Freelance Training, (FT2) - a not for profit training organisation with charitable status which provides apprenticeship-style new entrant training for young people wishing to establish freelance careers in junior technical, production and craft areas of the industry - has opened recruitment on a new 'Changing Technologies for New Entrants' training scheme, preparing people for freelance careers in junior technical, production and craft areas of film and television.
This new scheme is funded by the film and television industry through Skillset’s TV Freelance Fund and Film Skills Fund.
Up to 30 paid apprenticeship-style places will be available across a range of jobs.
FT2's previous New Entrant Technical Training Programme won a National Training Award in 2002 and the Independent Companies Researcher Training Scheme (which FT2 managed on behalf of a group of independent production companies) achieved a Greater London Training Award in 2005.
