Independent Companies Researcher Training Scheme opens recruitment
The highly acclaimed Independent Companies Researcher Training Scheme, has opened recruitment.
The organisers are looking for new talent to train to become researchers in factual programming - people who can bring innovative and fresh ideas to British television.
Vanessa Phillips, Director of Factual Programmes at Oxford Television, said: "Oxford Film and Television are currently producing a new popular history series with Terry Jones for BBC2, and we are thrilled to have been working with both a graduate and a trainee of the scheme on this series. Graduate, Clare Mottershead, worked on the series from the beginning as an AP and her enthusiasm and professionalism have really impressed the rest of the team. Josh Key has also been working on the series from the beginning and has become an invaluable member of the team, so much so that we've held on to him for a second attachment. It's great that the original aims of the scheme are being met, and every 18 months a new group of passionate, reliable and well-trained researchers are available for hire."
This 18 month full time salaried training scheme is supported by a group of PACT independent production companies and the Skillset Freelance Training Fund and is managed by FT2 - Film and Television Freelance Training.
Application information is available from www.ft2.org.uk, to be completed by November 5.
