Input Video acquire GM Editing

West London based Input Video have purchased the Avid specialist facility, GM Editing.
The combined operations will trade under the banner of “The Input Video Group” with White City based GM keeping its own name and identity. The move comes as Input looks to define the roles of its three key core businesses highlighting its production operations, its West 12 production facility and the newly acquired non-linear edit house. The combined companies now boast ten on-line suites, four linear and six non-linear plus up to eleven off-line suites working to Unity Media Share making it the biggest independent post-production operation in West London. Additional combined facilities include two state of the art dubbing suites, Smoke graphics, Orad virtual presentation studio and gallery, facility lines and down linking.
Input Video Managing Director, David Wood said, “Our success and growth has been based on our involvement in the production of live and post produced television sport. To further advance our business in today’s climate it has become essential that we offer our clients a large and highly specified non-linear facility and that is exactly what we now have in GM Editing.
Gareth Maynard, founder and Managing Director of GM Editing will continue in his current role and is joined on the board of directors by Input’s General Manager, Mark Hands-Heart.
“This is an excellent opportunity for GM Editing to strengthen its position in the market place and provide its clients with a broader range of services.” said Gareth Maynard. “Input Video’s facilities compliment our non-linear base at GM Editing and more importantly the client lists for the two companies are mutually exclusive.”
