Sumners complete Voom acquisition

Leading Manchester facility Sumners have acquired graphics and corporate specialist Voom.
Voom, founded by ex-BBC graphics specialists Andy Frith and Victoria Newton, was established in 1997 when the two quit the BBC in order to work on independent projects. Since then, Voom has gone on to establish an impressive reputation, racking up credits for work such as the edgy title sequence to the hit TV show ‘Nevermind the Buzzcocks’ as well as projects for Channel 4, Talkback Productions and BBC London.
Sumners, recently nominated in the best facility category in the Broadcast Awards, are based in Manchester. Clients include BBC, Channel 4, Granada and Carlton. Their Whitworth Street facility houses 30 edit suites, audio dubbing, graphics and the virtual studios, which is home to of one of the longest running television programs in British broadcasting, ‘What the Papers Say’.
The company have recently announced the creation of a specialist corporate production division, Sumners Content, using their impressive TV credentials and experience to provide high quality content for business clients.
