Soho Shorts Festival will see Ray Winstone as spokesperson

Actor Ray Winstone is set to be the official festival spokesperson for the fourth Rushes Soho Shorts Festival, which will be held from Saturday 27 July to Friday 2 August 2002
This year's festival received 900 entries, and the organisers at Rushes Postproduction have put together an agenda that is set to celebrate the wealth of talent in short films including: newcomers, established short film makers, animation, pop promos and title sequences & idents.
This year's films also showcase a wide range of talent, from supermodel Kristen McMenamy, to Keith Duffy of Boyzone, Caprice, Jenny Agutter, Claire Goose (Casualty) and Jason Flemying ("Lock Stock" & "Snatch").
The festival will follow the same format as last year, with free screenings to be held in cafes, bars and cinemas all over Soho, culminating in a celebrity packed awards night, hosted by The Word's infamous Terry Christian, at Sound in Leicester Square (sponsored by Sony Pro Media). Presenters will include Caprice, Neil Morrissey, Keith Duffy and Lee Tamahori, Director (latest Bond movie and "Once Were Warriors")
Venues already confirmed for this year include: Soho House, Curzon Soho, Costa Coffee, Mr Young's, The Metro Cinema, Noise Bar, De Lane Lea and Yo! Below.
The Delegates Centre at the festival's main stage - the Curzon Soho Cinema – will be open each day, where visitors will be able to find out the latest festival information and pick up a free delegate's pack. The Curzon Soho will also be hosting other special events such as the short film seminar in conjunction with the NPA, where Ray Winstone's short film, "Bouncer", will be screened.
Soho Shorts' list of judges so far includes: Nik Powell (Scala Films), Tom Charity (Time Out), Trevor Beattie (TBWA London), Sandy Hunter (Boards Magazine), Neil Norman (Evening Standard), Dan Jolin & Matt Mueller (Total Film), Dave Knight (Promo), Ed O' Brien (Radiohead) Jane Giles (ICA), Paul Rothwell (Gorgeous Enterprises), Dominic Delaney (Radical Media), Nic Murison (Film Four Lab) & Bronagh Keegan (4 Minute Wonders), Michael Bonner (Uncut), James Hamilton (Creation), Louise Stevens (Music Week), Tiger Savage (M&C Saatchi), amongst other industry luminaries.
