Digital Signs AmberFin Deal
Digital Vision has announced an OEM agreement with leading ingest, transcode and quality control provider AmberFin.
This technology partnership sees AmberFin integrate Digital Vision's DVO image processing software tools with its new software-based iCR Standards Converter.
"Digital Vision and AmberFin have an excellent technological synergy and we are delighted to provide our software to such a recognised manufacturer in the repurposing/transcoding market.
"Key customers such as Disney, Sony Picture Entertainment, National Geographic and Warner Brothers are already using AmberFin products and we look forward to seeing the announcement of new iCR customers in the coming months," commented Simon Cuff, Chief Operating Officer, Digital Vision.
DVO technology contains over two decades of research and is based on Digital Vision’s Emmy award-winning motion estimation technology that gives outstanding results combined with simplicity of operation.
By adding DVO standards conversion algorithms as an additional option within iCR, AmberFin provides a best - in - class solution, specifically designed for standards conversion in a file-based environment with a comprehensive range of high-quality temporal, spatial, codec and wrapper conversion tools for any format.
DVO has been specifically designed to give film and video industry professionals the ultimate flexibility and quality in image enhancement tools and enable superior mastering results when delivering sources for encoding either for digital cinema, broadcast, Blu-ray or IPTV.
Digital Vision will highlight its DVO toolset at NAB on booth SL3709. AmberFin will demonstrate its iCR solution at NAB on booth SU4917.
