DTS appoint Vice President of Engineering
Digital Theater Systems (DTS) have named Jan Wissmuller as their new Vice President of Engineering.
Assuming responsibility for all daily engineering activities for the company, Wissmuller will report to Jon Kirchner, President and CEO of DTS.
With a career spanning more than 25 years, Wissmuller has successfully served as a lead engineer at a variety of technology companies. Prior to joining DTS, he was Vice President of Engineering at Lexicon, a leader in digital audio processing technology, where he oversaw all aspects of engineering activities, including resource management, policy and process development, strategic planning and technical consultation. He holds BS degrees in Physics and Humanities (Music) from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Masters in Music Composition from University of Toronto and a PhD in Music Theory and Composition from Harvard University.
“Jan’s role is integral to the success of DTS, and his technical background in both engineering and music is perfectly suited to this position,” said Jon Kirchner, President and CEO of DTS. “We look forward to working with him as he supports our continued development and expansion into new markets.”
