DTS appoints European Business Development Manager

DTS has hired music and audio technology industry veteran Rodney Orpheus as Business Development Manager, DTS Entertainment, Europe.
A part of DTS’ Consumer/Pro Audio Division, DTS Entertainment (DTSE) is an entertainment label that licenses, produces and markets DVD-Audio and 5.1 music discs featuring DTS Digital Surround, DTS-ES and DTS 96/24 soundtracks. In his newly created position, Orpheus is responsible for overseeing all facets of DTSE’s business throughout Europe, including signing new artists, releasing new surround music titles, and managing promotion and sales of the entire DTSE catalogue. He is based in the company’s office in Twyford, England.
“As DTS Entertainment continues to grow and expand its presence and availability of titles in Europe, it is crucial that we have someone there that can both identify and work with artists, as well as understand the digital audio and surround sound space thoroughly,” said Jeff Skillen, Vice President, DTS Entertainment. “Rodney’s combination of deep knowledge of the music industry and technical expertise is ideal for this new role.”
