DTS technology used in 100 million products

DTS have announced that more than 100 million consumer electronics products containing DTS-licensed technology and intellectual property have been sold worldwide.
Introduced in 1997 as DTS Digital Surround, the technology is now used throughout the entertainment industry. More than 300 consumer electronics manufacturers currently license DTS, choosing to offer the option of higher quality surround sound. DTS-licensed products include DVD players, home cinema electronics, game consoles, car audio processors and head units, PC-based software decoders and 5.1-channel PC speaker systems.
In the movie, home cinema and DVD business, DTS has become the de-facto standard for surround technology, when the requirement is for the highest quality sound.
