Sun TV Orders Six Jampro UHF Systems

Jampro Antennas of Sacramento, California, a leading systems designer and maker of radio and television broadcast antennas, combiners and radio frequency components, has announced that Indonesian broadcasting network, Sun TV, has placed an order for six Jampro UHF broadband high power UHF systems.
The UHF systems are to be used to both expand SUN TV to the 6 largest Indonesian markets by combining with an existing UHF TV network and adding the DVB-H hand held mobile video systems in conjunction with MNC/FREN the nationwide mobile phone carrier.
The systems, which include Jampro model JUHD UHF high power panel antennas, Jampro Proline rigid transmission line and Jampro RWED UHF high power combiners, RCPU patch panels/switch frames. Due to the significant channel spacing and high power levels to be combined, the combiner & component requirements were especially challenging.

Available as a transmitter-to-tower turnkey package for simplified installations, the JUHD broadband UHF panel antenna can be either side-mounted or top-mounted. Based on a modular design, it can be configured to provide various azimuth and elevation patterns. Using optional beam tilt and null fill, the elevation pattern of the JUHD can be shaped to maximise coverage. This horizontally polarised antenna can also be configured to include varying levels of vertical polarisation, with results ranging from small amounts of elliptical polarisation. To ensure many years of service in Sun TV's hot, humid, tropical climate, radomes will enclose and protect the panels against the elements. The JUHD can produce a wide variety of standard and custom azimuth patterns. A feed system design provides excellent performance regardless of a station's channel pattern variation.
