Jampro Delivers UHF Panel Antenna System To Indonesia's Metro TV

Jampro Antennas of Sacramento, California, a leading designer and manufacturer of radio and television broadcast antennas, combiners and radio frequency components, have announced that the company delivered a Jampro broadband UHF panel antenna system to Metro TV, one of Indonesia's leading news and entertainment providers.
The new system consists of a Jampro JUHD broadband UHF panel antenna, Jampro Proline rigid transmission line and associated Jampro RF components.
It will be installed on the station's tower in Yogyakarta to improve the reach of Metro TV's 24-hour per day news coverage. A repeat Jampro customer, Metro TV is Indonesia's premier news network with more than 900 employees working mostly in the newsroom and production departments.
DTV-ready for UHF bands IV and V, the JUHD UHF broadband panel antenna can be either side or top mounted to maximise tower space. The antenna's modular design is configurable in various azimuth and elevation patterns and an optional beam tilt and nul fill feature allows the elevation pattern to be shaped to maximise coverage.
Essentially a horizontally polarised antenna, the JUHD can also be adjusted to include varying levels of vertical polarisation with small amounts of elliptical polarisation.
Through a feed system design, which provides excellent performance regardless of a station's channel, pattern variation over the band is minimised. Different configurations will produce various gains, weights and windloads. Made of stainless steel, the JUHD was selected by Metro TV particularly for its ability to stand up against the salty air and tropical climate of Jakarta. Fibreglass radomes were specified to further protect performance.
Metro TV is licensed to PT Media Televisi, a subsidiary of the Media Group, headed by President-Director, Surya Paloh, who is also the publisher of Indonesia's third largest national newspaper, 'Media Indonesia'.
