Branagh Turns Detective At DISCOP

Zodiak International, the content distribution arm for Zodiak Television Group, will arrive at DISCOP with a diverse range of titles available for international acquisition - including star-studded drama programming; travel guides with a difference; shocking crime clip shows and primetime entertainment formats.
Following the company's move into drama sales, Wallander, the brand new detective drama starring multi-award winning actor Kenneth Branagh will be available at DISCOP.
Produced by Yellow Bird, part of the Zodiak Television Group and Left Bank Pictures for the BBC and directed by Philip Martin (Prime Suspect: The Final Act), Wallander is adapted from three of Henning Mankell’s phenomenally successful Wallander novels.
Branagh (Much Ado About Nothing, Henry V, Wild Wild West, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets) stars as Inspector Kurt Wallander, a wonderfully complex and compelling character, fascinatingly flawed but deeply human.
The fictional detective lives in the town of Ystad, a beautiful and dramatic 13th century port in the southern province of Skane, Sweden where he resolves shocking crimes using unorthodox methods.
Sharing distribution rights with BBC Worldwide, Zodiak International handles sales throughout Eastern Europe, the Baltic States, Scandinavia, Netherlands and Benelux, and has already brokered deals with TV4 Sweden, TV2 Norway, DR Denmark, MTV3 Finland, Lumiere Benelux and Svenks Film for its pan Scandinavian feed.
This Is Our Travel Show follows four groups of youths as they set off to discover parts of the world they have only previously dreamed about.
Without any plans or obligations or the constraints of a production crew, each band of friends is accompanied by a talented young photographer to record their journey.
