Autocue Prompts Sales In India
Autocue, a leading provider of newsroom automation and teleprompting solutions, has announced the sale of 11 new prompting systems to Doordarshan in India.
The deal completed through locally based distributors includes 22 of Autocue's Master Series Prompters (MSP12) and 11 Wincue Pro News software packages. The equipment will be deployed across Doordarshan's newsroom estate to replace and update existing equipment from previous suppliers.
Autocue were awarded the contract after a year long tender process against the incumbent supplier, succeeding after several rounds of technical and commercial evaluation.
The Master Series range of Autocue prompters are designed specifically for national broadcasters and high-end customers seeking the highest quality of prompter. Wincue Pro News is the worldwide standard for newsroom prompting systems with full integration and real time editing. Doordarshan have requested Autocue to interface to their own QSeries systems, as well as ENPS via MOS across several Indian languages.
Autocue Chief Executive Officer Frank Hyman said: "The rapid acceleration of our sales in India is a source of great pride to us as we believe it is a vital, and rapidly growing market. This significant deal is one of several major competitive tenders and Indian accounts that we have won back in the last 12 months and an excellent example of the response our new products and service model are receiving."
