SMG Pacific Quay Move Prompts Post Upgrade

As part of SMG’s £30 million investment in new studio and office facilities at Glasgow's Pacific Quay, SMG Solutions has taken the opportunity to upgrade its entire post-production operation.
Its new purpose-built facilities across sound, editing and graphics will boast leading-edge technology which is the equal of anything available in the UK.
A key feature is the adoption of server based technology, providing excellent connectivity both within the organisation and externally.
The new Pro Tools sound facilities will include three state-of-the-art dubbing suites in addition to two tracklaying suites and voiceover and Foley facilities.
On the editing side the Pacific Quay complex includes three tape suites, two DS Nitris suites, four Adrenalines and one Symphony suite.
In the graphics area a wide range of software packages is available including Combustion, Lightwave and After Effects with high-end finishing being provided by Discreet “Flint”.
