Autocue Appoints MediaPros As First UK Reseller Of New Video Server Range
Autocue has announced that London-based MediaPros has been appointed as the first UK reseller of Autocue's new video server range.
MediaPros specialises in supplying professional A/V equipment to the broadcast, post-production and multimedia industries and is demonstrating the seamless integration of Autocue's video server with Final Cut Server during BVE.
Autocue's standalone, Linux-based video servers feature up to four bi-directional HD/SD channels for simultaneous record and playout and a range of storage capabilities. The highly popular servers are ideal replacements for tape machines, as well as an affordable solution for secondary applications within top-end broadcasters.
According to Autocue CEO Frank Hyman: "Our video server range has more ports, more formats, more storage and more flexibility at a lower cost than competing devices."
MediaPros' Pro Audio and Video Business Manager James Dancer said: "These new video servers fit perfectly in a gap that was not currently fulfilled by existing products. Autocue has very cleverly built a system that is extremely cost effective yet provides a high level of reliability and resilience that can be used standalone, or as part of any production system including existing Media Asset Management systems such as Final Cut Server. We are delighted to add these servers to the portfolio of professional products we represent."
The new server range is part of Autocue's drive to further extend its reach within the broadcast sector. The products build on Autocue's extensive broadcast experience to provide broadcasters with servers of the highest quality and affordability that they already expect from Autocue's range of teleprompter and newsroom solutions.
