BBC Film Network Launches Filmmaking Guide

The guide provides advice on the filmmaking and exhibition process, from pre-production through to marketing and distribution. In the new guide, answers to common questions that filmmakers ask will be answered such as: 'What makes a good short film?'; 'How do I market my short?'; 'What clearances do I need?'; 'Which festivals should I enter first?'
As well as including all the information from before, there will be new sections which will include:

  • Legal guides offering detailed advice on rights and clearances on all aspects of the filmmaking and exhibition process

  • Case studies with filmmakers and the industry

  • Detailed sections on the exhibition and distribution process

  • Links and information about hundreds of film/filmmaking organisations

  • Links to handy filmmaking resources elsewhere on the web and in print

The guide is available to view at:
