Bradford School Runs 48-Hour Filmmaking Challenge

News Image
Young film-makers are to get the opportunity to showcase their creative skills during a 48-hour challenge being run by the new Bradford Film School.
The competition is open to 16-19 year olds considering taking up a film course or thinking of a career in the film industry.
It begins this week, on 13 June, when students will be shown round the Film School at Bradford College before planning, producing and shooting a short film in groups.
On Friday 14 June, they will take part in the post-production and presentation of their films which will be judged by a high-profile panel including David Wilson, director of UNESCO City of Film.
Bradford Film School also offers a free workshop on student film distribution to regional schools and colleges and covers the different ways in which young film-makers can promote their work at festivals, events and online.
Bradford College in partnership with Whistling Woods International (WWI) has launched the Bradford WWI Film School that aims to be ‘the best film school in the world’.
This collaboration means students on courses in film and photography have the opportunity to travel to Mumbai as part of their work.
The Film School is also progressing partnerships with other European destinations known for their film expertise, and will welcome its first students from this September.
