Realeyez Productions Win Propeller TV Ident Competition

Croydon-based Realeyez Productions have designed the winning sting that was showcased on propeller TV, the UK's rapidly growing, national channel for film & TV talent (Sky 195) on August 1 and have won a £1000 prize.
Over 50 design and production companies entered the competition, established to nurture new filmmaking talent, to design and produce the first winning ident to lead in and out of propeller's programmes. Entries needed to incorporate the propeller logo, colours and music. Judging the competition was John Offord - propeller Acquisitions Manager, Ali Rashid - propeller Creative Director, Faith Pattison - propeller Scheduler and Lisa McManus - propeller Promo Producer.
John Offord said commented: "The entries were impressive but what made Realeyez Productions ident stand out for me was its simple mix of live footage with graphics. It is a shot of a group of guys on a sofa watching TV and having laugh. Our audience can identify themselves here watching propeller TV and it means something to them. This is the key to successful ident television branding. These guys made it in just one afternoon, just think what they could make with a bigger budget and more time. We are delighted to give these talented newcomers a launch pad."
Dean Annon, Director/Producer at Realeyez Productions added: "This was the first competition of its kind we have entered and it was an opportunity not to be missed. It's refreshing to work alongside a channel so dedicated to supporting new ideas and creative talent. Having our ident profiled nationally is amazing and we can't wait for people to let us know what they think."
