GBCT Celebrates 'A Night To Remember' At 30th Anniversary Party

The Guild of British Camera Technicians recently celebrated its 30th Anniversary by gathering the best from throughout the British Film and Television Industry in 'A Night to Remember'.
The doors of the Royal Lancaster opened and guests were welcomed by members of the GBCT board and their team. Before long the drinks reception was in full swing, with guests relaxing and mingling while being entertained by the Jazz band Happy Feet.
There was a real sense of anticipation in the air as everyone prepared to be called into the grand ballroom by the Master of Ceremonies Bryn Williams. When the main ballroom doors were opened and guests were welcomed into dinner, everyone present was dazzled by the beautifully decorated room and stage set.
Trevor Coop, Chairman of the GBCT, welcomed everyone to this first independent GBCT awards ceremony, and then introduced Nina Nannar who was guest presenter for the evening. Music sensation Diana Yukawa opened the awards with an amazing violin performance. Through the ceremony Nina Nannar introduced a host of very special guest
presenters to announce the award winners. These culminated in the acceptance by
June Randle of The EON/ GBCT Lifetime Achievement Award for Script Supervision, from none other than Mr Roger Moore, who entertained the whole room as only he could. Following the ceremony, guests were treated to the delightful sounds of the Thames Television Big Band and the after party.
The whole event was a triumph and definitely a Night to Remember. On
