GBCT Camera Schools RED Camera Workshop

The Guild of British Camera Technicians is running a series of one-day, practical camera courses for small groups around the country.

Run in partnership with RED, the courses will introduce people to the RED WEAPON 8K S35 (with the new HELIUM sensor), including how to set it up, its accessories, lenses, on-set issues and trouble-shooting.

The day starts at 9am and finishes at 5.30pm and will consist of a series of demonstrations, discussions and practical shooting exercises that cover:
• An overview of the RED camera evolution and differences in body form
• Sensor development between legacy cameras and the new DSMC2 HELIUM and DRAGON range
• The new 35-megapixel 8K HELIUM sensors colour space technology
• Setting up the camera system via black shade calibration
• Temperature management to optimize picture quality
• Using the touchscreen user interface menu

Course dates:
• Liverpool – Tuesday 6 February, 2018
• Manchester – Wednesday 7 February, 2018
• Leeds – Thursday 8 February, 2018

Course pre-requisites:
Due to different levels of professional experience, candidates will be selected from their CVs which must accompany the application form.

Number of places: Strictly limited to eight

Cost: £100 + VAT
