Xytech Systems to introduce new modules at IBC 2006

Xytech Systems Corporation, a leading provider of media asset and workflow management software will launch at IBC 2006 of a number of new modules and options that are part of the new 8.5 release of Xytech Enterprise.
These new modules and features further extend the comprehensive capabilities of this flagship product and include Article Rental, Shift Scheduling as well as API capabilities for interfacing to third party applications.
Article Management - Adds the capability to manage items in production and rental/equipment hire environments such as costumes and wardrobe, scenery and props, as well as ancillary equipment such as camera accessories, lighting, and grip accessories. An article may also represent rented items which are often packaged together - e.g. cables, camera stands and bags.
Shift Scheduling - This option extends the core Schedule module - which manages personnel and associated facilities - with project, task, and shift based scheduling capabilities. This provides broadcast and production facilities with an integrated solution that extends to project and task (shift) based scheduling and time tracking.
Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) -Developed to provide integration with external applications through a common interface and uses industry-standard Web Services in combination with XML based business rules to link into third party products such as SAP R/3, Great Plaines, Oracle (formerly JD Edwards), as well as newsgathering applications, DAM repositories, etc.
Quality Control - An option developed for MetaVault Library to help record and manage quality control data for media elements and helps automate manual internal processes that are part of an end-to-end workflow. This new application gives the user the ability to create customised templates that are attached to library master records.
Visitors to Xytech's stand will see the latest version of Xytech's flagship product Enterprise V8.5 - the leading choice for media workflow, asset management and scheduling solution for the media & entertainment industry.
