BBC Northern Ireland deploys SintecMedia OnAir scheduling and management system

SintecMedia, a leading international developer of software for scheduling, sales, traffic, and billing systems, has announced that BBC Northern Ireland has successfully launched operations on SintecMedia's OnAir scheduling and management system.
This marks the first phase of the corporation's Orion Project, which will provide a fully integrated commissioning and scheduling system across its television and radio stations.
The system, which will be introduced across the BBC over the next six months, will facilitate communication across the organisation, eliminate duplicate data entry, and enable the broadcaster to leverage its assets.
OnAir combines all major operations into an all-in-one management and scheduling product. OnAir's flexible workflow engine will enable the broadcaster to design custom workflow processes, in order to create a single operational environment across all media channels. These workflow processes will allow stations to structure internal communications for improved efficiency and the flexibility to adapt readily to changing business demands.
