HTV NEWS ADOPTS DYNAMIC NEW LOOK

EDITORIAL team changes are to give a new dynamic look to the news from HTV Wales.
The broadcaster says the revamp is part of a strategy to utilise its newsroom talent to its fullest potential.
Andy Collinson takes on the role of Chief Reporter to strengthen the on-screen reporting team, and Giles Smith has been appointed West Wales Correspondent - utilising his extensive broadcast journalism experience in one of the busiest areas within Wales.
Zoe Tape has become the new face of sports coverage as back-up to main presenter Rhodri Davies.
The live input is boosted with out-and-about reports from presenters Jonathon Hill and Lucy Cohen.
Lucy reported live from the Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells, while Jonathon anchored HTV News reports from the National Eisteddfod in Llanelli.
Head of News, John G Williams said: “We have an excellent news team in place throughout Wales. I am confident we can meet the challenge of delivering the news with the skill and authority our viewers expect and demand.”
The staff changes follow a radical move by HTV Wales towards more live coverage in its regional news programmes.
