STV use Omnibus Colossus automation system

OmniBus Systems, the award-winning provider of comprehensive automation and content management solutions to the broadcast industry, has announced that Slovak Television (STV) is using an OmniBus Systems Colossus automation system to enable streamlined, efficient transmission of its public television channels, STV1 and STV2.
The Colossus system significantly improves STV control over playout and enhances integration of advanced technologies that contribute to the station's new on-air look.
"Colossus is a good fit for our operations not only because of its proven ability to function seamlessly with our other broadcast systems, but also because it is backed by the experience and expertise of the OmniBus Systems global support team," said Slovak Television Managing Director Marcel Para. "We feel we're getting the performance and support we require in a solution that helps us make the most of our resources."
OmniBus' Colossus is a multichannel, multidelivery automation, and control system that has been designed to bridge the gap between video, audio, Internet, and data-streaming applications while giving broadcasters the flexibility to grow. STV has integrated its Colossus automation system with an Omneon Spectrum media server system and Miranda Presmaster master control and branding system in a combination that offers efficient, reliable playout while enabling dynamic presentation.
Colossus facilitates playout of STV1 and STV2 with schedules downloaded from a PROVYS scheduling system. It also delivers metadata to the desktop, simplifying the tracking of material throughout the STV facility and allowing operators to modify the schedule at the desktop when necessary. (CD)
