ORAD RECEIVE PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

Orad Hi-Tec Systems have received an Emmy Award by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for their virtual advertising and sports broadcasting enhancement tools.
The Emmy recognises Orad for ‘Implementation of Real Time Virtual Imaging for Live Events on Television’ for their IMadGINE* and CyberSport products.
Avi Sharir, President and CEO of Orad, said: “We feel honoured to be recognised by the Academy for our efforts in developing and implementing this exciting new technology. International broadcasters for the Sydney 2000 Olympics used Orad’s CyberSport systems. CyberSport was deployed in the track and field, swimming and other venues in Sydney and used to insert graphics and special effects into the broadcasters’ live coverage of the events.
Sky Sports have also used Orad’s virtual imaging for soccer, rugby and cricket to insert virtual team logos, jumbotrons, speed and distance lines.

IMadGINE is a virtual advertising system for the electronic replacement and insertion of advertising messages during live TV broadcasts of sporting and other events. It can electronically replace peripheral boards in a stadium, insert synthesised messages onto the playing field or other empty spaces in the arena, enabling messages to be targeted toward specific audiences and entire playing fields to serve as advertising mediums.
