HHB FlashMic DRM85 to be showcased at CABSAT 2006

The revolutionary HHB FlashMic DRM85 – the world’s first professional Digital Recording Microphone – will receive its Middle East debut at CABSAT 2006.
The winner of numerous awards in recent months at the Amsterdam IBC and New York AES Conventions, including a Best Of IBC Award from TVB Europe, the FlashMic will be unveiled on the stand of Oasis Enterprises (A8-1), HHB’s distribution partner in the United Arab Emirates.
Perfect for all voice recording applications, in particular broadcast and press interviewing, the FlashMic combines a high quality Sennheiser omni-directional condenser capsule with 1GB of flash recording memory to create a convenient, portable and highly durable recording device that’s extremely easy to operate. Pristine quality recordings are made at industry-standard resolutions, and either .wav linear or MPEG 1 layer 2 encoded files can be transferred at up to 90x real time via USB to Mac or PC computers and laptops for editing and onward transmission.
“FlashMic is a dream come true for radio journalists,” commented HHB Export Sales Manager Matthew Fletcher, who will be in attendance at CABSAT. “With no cables to worry about, up to 10 seconds of pre-record buffer and more than six hours battery life from a pair of standard AA cells, FlashMic always gets the story. What’s more, FlashMic is incredibly easy to use – just one button push and you're recording.” Meanwhile HHB Managing Director Ian Jones is keen to stress the importance of CABSAT in the company’s annual convention schedule. “The Middle East has become such a dynamic region for broadcasting,” he says. “We are committed to supporting our distributor Oasis Enterprises in the UAE, and to delivering all the benefits of HHB’s innovative professional audio technology to local broadcasters.”
In addition to the FlashMic, HHB is also showing its full range of professional audio hardware and recording media products, widely adopted by broadcasters worldwide. The HHB CDP-88 professional 1U rack-mounting CD player will also receive its first public showing at CABSAT 2006, appearing alongside HHB’s PORTADRIVE 8-channel HD location sound recorder, PORTADISC professional portable MiniDisc recorder, CDR830 and CDR830Plus CD recorders and the full line up of HHB professional recording media products, which now encompasses all popular tape and disc-based formats.
