INTERACTIVE ADVERTISING LAUNCHES ON ITV
CARLTON Active have announced the commercial launch of their new interactive advertising services on ITV.
The announcement followed a recent pilot project at the launch of their first interactive television (iTV) series ‘Baby Baby’ on ITV, which featured interactive advertising content.
Martin Bowley, Chief Executive Carlton Media Sales and Chairman of Carlton Active, said: “Television is now able to offer advertisers not only brand messages, but also, extensive product detail, price comparisons and special offer support that until now was usually offered through other media. Carlton Active is making the most powerful advertising medium in the UK more powerful by offering advertisers the ability to engage the consumer in a most compelling fashion through interactive advertising.”
Interactive commercials designed and produced by Carlton Active are set to air on ITV in February 2001.
