CARLTON INTERACTIVE ADVERTISING WORKSHOP

CARLTON are to a host a workshop titled ‘The Complete Guide to iTV’ following the successful launch of ‘Baby Baby’ the first interactive series on ITV.
The workshop will be tailored specifically for advertisers and agencies that are interested in learning the latest and most up-to-date information on the interactive opportunities for advertisers on ITV
Martin Bowley, Carlton Active, said: “By 2005, the UK display advertising market will be worth nearly £11bn. We believe that these services will increase TV revenue by between £200m - £300m. This will come from classified, press and sales promotion budgets. Money is not moving away from TV. TV is driving this market, it is re-writing the rules of the media planning and buying business.”
Carlton Active will share its experience and knowledge with those who want to make their mark in the new and exciting world of interactive advertising on ITV. Delegates will have the opportunity to investigate in full the future of iTV advertising and learn how they can exploit this unique and powerful advertising tool. At this event Carlton Active will also announce major new iTV services on ITV.
The workshop consists of three strands: Research, Creative and Technical. In the Research strand, Carlton Active will share findings from research carried out over the last year, and look at the results of Carlton Active's on-air experience.
In the Creative section will show how available opportunities can be maximised, creating effective advertisements to complement mainstream advertising, and will investigate the new field of designing interactive services and advertising.
In the Technical session delegates will explore the different platforms in the UK and their respective functionality, throwing light on the technology behind the service.
