Film London launches Company Placement Scheme for trainees

Film London is looking for dynamic London-based film and media companies to participate in an innovative new scheme providing paid work placements for trainees across London.
Film London will provide selected companies with 75% of the total salary of the placement for up to six months; dedicated HR expertise including the development of training plans; and general recruitment advice and support.
Selected companies will provide the remaining salary costs, a structured work-plan and a supervisor to work with the trainee.
Trisha Boland, Head of Skills and Development at Film London said: “We hope this scheme will provide valuable assistance to companies wishing to develop their training programmes as well as offering opportunities to people from all backgrounds to get their foot on the industry ladder.”
The Company Placement Scheme is open to small and medium-sized companies registered with Companies House working in the film, TV or moving-image sector. Companies must be registered within the Greater London Area and selected trainees must also live in Greater London.
The deadline for applications is Monday January 16 2006.
