EQUITY SCOTLAND DIRECTORY GOES ONLINE

EQUITY have published a live internet-based casting directory of actors based in Scotland.
The online directory, established with European sourced funding, means that casting directors can access the site free of charge by visiting www.equity.org.uk and clicking on the link for the Scotland Directory.
The database can be accessed for members by name, agent or by search criteria such as physical characteristics, skills, accents or playing age. Potential employers can also email members’ agents direct from the site.
Members can change credits and personal details by getting in touch with Equity’s Glasgow office, but if a member falls ‘out of benefit’ they will automatically be removed.
BBC Scotland were already using the site ahead of its formal launch to employers in November.
For further information contact Equity’s Glasgow Office on tel. 0141 248 2472.
