Stanley Productions expands facilities with top-end HDCAM SR VTR

Leading dubbing house and equipment dealer Stanley Productions has invested in HDCAM SR dubbing facilities to cater for increasing demand for HD.
Stanley Productions, which has been operating in Soho for 30 years, has invested in the SRW-5500 HDCAM SR VTR, allowing the company to offer tape transfers to and from HDCAM SR in all the main high definition frame rates.
Stanley Aarons, owner of Stanley Productions, says HDCAM SR is taking off in the postproduction market in London, with feature film and high end Digital Intermediate postproduction the main customers.
He says his company has invested in HDCAM SR to maintain its record of offering the best and most wide ranging service possible.
Aarons continued: “As a pioneer of the video industry we have always presented a complete and unique range of products and services. With the introduction of high definition and new media products we are firmly intent on continuing our tradition. We do all broadcast dubbing here, as well as repair and sell equipment, supply stock, offering DVD copying, editing and high end standards conversion. We invested in HDCAM SR because we need to stay at the forefront of the industry offering high end work. HDCAM SR work is starting to increase and we see a big future for the format, especially in the feature film market.”
The SRW-5500 is a high-end HD digital videocassette recorder that employs the HDCAM SR format offering visually lossless compression. The VTR also allows recording and playback of the well-proven HDCAM format. Applications range from HDTV to digital cinematography and DI.
