VINTEN'S NEW CAMERA MOUNTS IN ACTION
VINTEN have announced the launch of additions to their Vision Pan and Tilt range of professional tripod systems.
Utilising many design upgrades the Vision range of durable heads comprises six systems ranging from the Lightweight Vision 3 through to Vision 6, 8, 11, 100 to 250. The range is designed to support the latest portable digital camera combinations used in studio and Outside Broadcast production.
The smallest latest addition to the range is the Vision 3. Weighing 2.3kg, it is a compact pan and tilt head and designed for Corporate and ENG video using today’s professional DV cameras.
Stephen King, Production Manager at Cornerstone Media Productions, said: “We tried out the Vision 3, and were instantly sold. It had all the features we’ve come to expect from Vinten but in a small, lightweight version. Because the Vision 3 is a lightweight tripod, we are able to perform more creative shots in area where larger tripods could not fit, or would be too cumbersome.”
The Vision systems have been revised to include the New Pozi-Loc tripods combining a new clamping system with new advances in manufacturing technology. The Pozi-Loc cam-operated clamping system requires low effort with a 90 degree turn from on to off, providing the user with a positive indication that the tripod is securely locked. The profile of the knob ensures that camera cables cannot snag. Lighter than earlier models and with an increased payload capacity of 25kg, the tripods offer extensive height range and excellent torsional stiffness. These features are all designed to meet the demands of the professional camera operator.
Pozi-Loc tripods are available with aluminium or carbon fibre legs in single or two-stage configuration and with 75mm or 100mm bowl mounting. They also feature a spring loaded transport clip that keeps the legs together when the tripod is folded.
