PICARDY NAMED IN TOP TEN POST FACILITIES
FOR the seventh consecutive year, Picardy Media Group have been named as one of the Top Ten regional post-production companies in the UK.
Picardy are the only Scottish firm to feature in the Top Ten list produced by Televisual, which is dominated by London-based companies.
Picardy appears at number eight in the current ‘Poll of Polls’, which ranks the Top 30 regional post-production companies according to a number of factors – turnover (for which Picardy were ranked third), how they are viewed by their peers, quality of equipment they own and the number of relevant staff which they employ.
Commenting on the company’s placing in the Top Ten, Managing Director, Iain Hogg, said: “Our continued presence in a list dominated by companies from south of the border further confirms us as one of the leading post production companies in the UK.
“We are proof that you do not necessarily need to travel south for the best post-production specialists. Indeed, it is on this core of excellence we are building our innovative ‘where television meets the net’ initiative.”
The company is currently gearing up for an aggressive expansion programme that is expected to see a doubling of staff over the next two years. With a growing list of clients from south of the border, Picardy are fast establishing themselves as a leading UK company, based in Scotland.
The company have a long established pedigree in broadcast television post-production and have identified business-to-business communications and Internet television as their primary growth area.
They also among the first UK companies to embrace DVD technology that will facilitate broadcasting on the Internet. (CD)
