PICARDY LEAD THE WAY IN SCOTLAND

PICARDY Media Group are the only Scottish company to have secured a place in the annual Top 50 UK television facilities review, which appears in this month's copy of the broadcast and production industry bible 'Televisual'.
In the annual list, which was published last week, Picardy are ranked 28th in a poll which is dominated by London companies. This placing is further good news for the company, which was also ranked 8th in a Regional Review by the magazine earlier this year.
The magazine praises Picardy for their forward looking strategies, and puts the company's massive 16-place rise from last year's poll down to its focus on building from its core broadcast expertise into developing new-media solutions. Rankings in the poll are judged by five criteria: range of specialist equipment, creative staff, how competitors rate one another, turnover and client feedback.
Managing Director Iain Hogg commented: "This is a fantastic achievement and demonstrates that we have been successful in building our core expertise into developing new areas of media - such as eDVD, the web and cutting edge developments such as Desk Top Television - which will become the staple diet of the industry's future. We are one of the very few that have successfully harnessed the best of both mediums."
