Higher Grant Support For UK Companies At AES
The APRS is pleased to announce the availability of enhanced financial support for UK companies intending to exhibit at the Autumn AES show, scheduled to take place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California, from November 4th - 11th this year.
For many years, small government grants have been available to companies throughout the UK economy wishing to explore business opportunities in overseas markets. The APRS is the Accredited Trade Organisation (ATO) for the AES Conventions and despite the current economic climate, has succeeded in negotiating a higher level of grant for successful qualifying candidates for the Tradeshow Access Programme (TAP) support in San Francisco.
This year they can can offer £1800 for each successful claimant - a sum which might make the difference for some companies as to whether they attend or not. The rules remain as they were last year, which gives companies with existing export experience the opportunity of seeking support, but also makes companies eligible who are entirely new to export.
In order to assess possible take-up of this offer, interested companies should email a response to: [email protected] indicating whether you might be making the trip, taking a booth and making a TAP claim.
Peter Filleul, Executive Director of the APRS, commented: "US AES shows are very different creatures to the European shows - they're much more music-oriented, and considerably more 'rock'n'roll'. What's more, each year the East and West editions the AES Convention offer access to the vibrant, disparate pro audio markets that thrive across the USA."
The APRS will be present with a UK hospitality booth offering a respite from booth fatigue, and a place for private meetings with your clients. They will also be hosting a special reception with colleagues from NARAS and SPARS at which APRS Sound Fellowships will be presented to US-based recipients.
