TV Werk chooses eQ for HD commercials production

Munich based postproduction house, TV Werk Mediengruppe, has chosen a Quantel eQ multi-resolution editing/effects/grading/mastering system to sit at the heart of its new HD commercials production operation.
TV Werk has also purchased a QEffects network assist software package to work alongside the eQ.
TV Werk offers a comprehensive range of services across animated film production, graphics, visual effects, 3D animation, telecine, colour grading, audio and, of course, editing and compositing. TV Werk’s extensive client base is drawn from commercials, cinema and TV – for example, Saatchi & Saatchi, Serviceplan, VIVA Film.
TV Werk’s Egi Seipler explains the choice of eQ. “I have been a Quantel user for many years, and completed countless projects on Henry Infinity,” he said. “The eQ is the next logical step for us. It opens up the world of HD and multi-resolution and it is a truly open platform, integrating easily with other systems and allowing us to work in all formats and resolutions. The plug-ins are also very tightly integrated and of course it is a very fast machine. In short, it is the perfect system to take us into the HD commercials business.”
