TYRONE PRODUCTIONS APPOINT NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE

TYRONE Productions, one of Ireland’s largest independent television companies, have announced the appointment of Siun Ni Raghallaigh as Chief Executive.
Raghallaigh, formerly Managing Director of TG4, has several years experience in media.
She joined Teilifis na Gaeilge in 1994 and was central in the setting up of the channel. She oversaw the financial management of the channel and established its relationship with the independent production sector. She was also responsible for the marketing of the channel and managed the re-branding in 1999 from TnaG to TG4.
Joan Egan, Executive Chairman at Tyrone Productions, said: “In this time of great change for the television industry it is exciting to welcome someone with Siun’s expertise to lead the company in the next phase of its strategic development.”
A Certified accountant, Siun also has valuable experience of the newspaper and publishing industry in Ireland, having previously held the post of Financial Controller with Tribune Newspapers. (CD)
