Curious Software releases Curious World Maps v5.5

Curious Software has announced the release of Version 5.5 of its industry-standard map creation software, Curious World Maps.
Significantly, this release includes brand new up-to-date built-in map data and, for new users, superb colour-matched satellite imagery from Planet Observer has now been adopted as the default Natural Earth option.
Also, the Keybars and Timeline functionality has been greatly improved, making it even easier and quicker to create and edit map animations; and there are a number of general improvements in rendering performance – in particular relating to the use of multi-processors where appropriate.
Users will also notice a number of User-Interface display improvements including, for those using Mac OSX, the adoption of the Aqua conventions.
Additionally, there is an improved range of shape manipulation tools; and a variety of enhancements have been made to make working with image sequences, text and layers easier.
