UNUSUAL NEW CUSTOMER SUITE AT AVITEL NEARS COMPLETION

AVITEL have settled in well to their new premises, and recruitment has started for administration, sales and technical staff.
This has revealed a gap in their capabilities, however, since they no longer have a separate meeting room and demonstration area. To solve this, Avitel have agreed with their new landlord to convert two disused cylindrical grain silos into meeting/technical demonstration rooms, each complete with glazed conical roof. Construction of the brick casing, windows and roof is nearing completion, and they are eagerly anticipating handover before IBC 2001. A grand opening is planned for the new meeting rooms, ideally while the fine weather allows an outdoor event. Invitations will be sent out in the near future.
A perfectly circular room is intriguing, but poses special problems; circular tables are simple enough, but curved shelving is more of a challenge. As a result or this experience, they are working on the new 3700 series rack frame which has a specially designed curved chassis and front panel, which can be supplied to suit customers' required radius of curvature. Avitel have already had interest from a number of potential users, and first deliveries are scheduled for very early in 2002.
