iQ HELPS BLOCKBUSTER HIT THE SCREEN

QUANTEL’S iQ has provided much needed horsepower to French feature film Vidocq starring Gerard Depardieu, following a request for help from the movie's producers.
Quantel stepped in when it became apparent that iQ was the only hardware that was up to the job. The movie will now be released on time something that looked unlikely before iQ came to the rescue.
In related news, another application for iQ has been unveiled recently – realtime contextual colour correction at film, HD and 601 resolutions in conjunction with Pandora or Da Vinci. This opens up the possibility for directors to previsualise, conform and even colour correct their entire movie or other project in one location - seeing all the shots in context and being able to work interactively with the material. In addition, they also have simultaneous access to iQ's full editing and repair toolset, allowing shots to be trimmed, tweaked and finessed at the same time. iQ's power allows real time play, record and resizing of clips under colour corrector control. Graded pieces can move on to on-line, be laid out to tape or networked to film recorders for cinema release.
