Skillset’s Inside Pictures calls for applicants

Skillset’s Inside Pictures, the film business training programme now funded by the Skillset Film Skills Fund, is accepting applications from today, July 26.
Comprising three intensive one-week modules, Skillset’s Inside Pictures takes place in London and Los Angeles between November 2004 and May 2005. Seminars, workshops and studio visits are hosted by some of the US and UK’s most senior industry professionals. The programme covers all aspects of international film business - from development through production, financing, worldwide distribution and exhibition - and provides networking and profile raising opportunities for the participants.
The successful applicants will be 14 executives and producers who display ambition, a determination to broaden their knowledge of the global film industry, and expand their network of contacts. They should have a minimum of a three-year track record in film or an associated creative industry such as television, advertising or music.
This initiative is supported by the National Lottery through the Skillset Film Skills Fund as part of A Bigger Future, the UK Film Skills Strategy and is run by Michael Kuhn’s Qwerty Films.
Application forms can be downloaded from www.inside-pictures.com and www.skillset.org or requested from the Skillset’s Inside Pictures office on +44 (0) 20 7440 5924. The deadline for applications is September 3 2004.
